This summer has been dry and hot! Part of why I love living in Oklahoma is because of its beautiful summer storms!
Our first year we were here, I can remember being in awe of the lightening storms. One night, we just sat outside in the 95 degree nighttime and sat in the saoking rain and watched the storm. Such a fun memory of our ealy Oklahoma days.
Today, we finally got rain! After the hottest month in the history of Oklahoma EVER! The light rain was such a relief, it put of grass fires and quenched our lawn. And also I great opporutinty for pictures.
I really impressed Craig with my ability to capture lightening on camera. 3 consectutive shots!
A few miles Northeast of us, a grass fire was burning. It kind of kicked up with the wind, but the rain was very helpful
And the smoke was far enough away to be pretty against the clouds.
…and finally, RAIN!
